My Daily Life: The Crazy Part

Posted by Shan at 9:24 PM
Hello again, I guess it's time to tell you about some of the crazy stuff that happens when i go to the courses I'm taking at Evergreen Valley College.

So I generally stop at Starbucks before heading in to my 7:45 am chemistry class, without fail. The same clerk is there each time (i guess she works the early morning shift on tues/thurs) She's a rather plain looking community college student, with a blinding smile, and has named me the Green Tea Guy...apparently every time i walk into the store, I'm wearing a green shirt/sweatshirt and order the green tea frappuchino with no whipped cream; nowadays she has it ready and waiting for me even before i walk in the store, which is rather nice :). One particular day, she wasn't there, so when i asked for it, they had made it with whipped cream because I didn't remember to specify without. Running out of time, i decided i'd bear it just this once, and head off to class. Now the starbucks is in this small shopping complex, behind which is a huge field with a long path to the college, i generally park my car in this complex and walk to class through this field (I didn't want to pay for a student parking permit).

Now, as several of you have pointed out, I am one of the luckiest people alive..(cue neelaysh gnashing his teeth with spite) no seriously, I have boatloads of luck, just ask eric whenever he and I play any game one-on-one :D. But, as neelaysh should remember, i have HORRIBLE luck with beverages at starbucks. Back to the story:

As I walk into the field, my lab partner in chemistry falls into step beside me. For those of you who don't know, my lab partner is this asian girl who's kinda hot in a very trashy and (for lack of a better word) slutty way...I've just popped open the lid on my beverage i stumbled on some rock. The whipped cream floated on top, but the beverage underneath spilled out straight onto my pants. Not just a small spill, a HUGE spill..needless to say, she was rather amused. But the curse of starbucks wasn't over, i wasn't too keen on mixing the whipped cream with what remained of my green tea, so i just to a huge gulp of whipped cream and held it in my mouth. My lab partner then stumbled over a rock and fell flat on her rather large rear end. I couldn't help myself, i burst out laughing. Small problem though, when i "burst out laughing" my mouth was still full of the whipped cream, which then sprayed all over her........she had whipped cream all over her face and tank top (i dont know how she managed wearing so little at 64 degrees outside) needless to say, the whipped cream combined with her shocked face made for one disturbing kodak moment. Thankfully she laughed it off, and all was well as went to our ridiculously mundane class.

After class was over, we walked back towards the building, she asked if i could give her a ride down the street. I said sure, it was the least i could do. As we drove along, with my music playing, one of my favorite dean martin songs came on (Just in Time, classic jazz) after the intro she asked, "so is this like punjabi music or something?" Breathless with rage, i made the right turn onto her street a little more sharply than i intended to, causing her to slam into the side of my door...she looked at me in surprise. "Its REAL music, not that retarded crap that people blast out of their speakers with the windows down," I snarled. She was pretty happy to get out of car and run to her house..
